Job stability, finally measured and certified
ExitIndex™ is the first certification standard for job stability.
It measures, certifies and compares the actual average length of employment by main function within organisations.
Similar to recognised standards (ISO, readability labels such as Nutri-Score), ExitIndex™ transforms a complex reality into a simple, readable and comparable benchmark for the labour market.
It certifies an observable fact: the actual stability of functions.
The ExitIndex™ brand is legally protected in Switzerland and the European Union.
Why stability has become a key criterion
The choice of a job no longer depends solely on the position or remuneration.
Today's talent seeks visibility, organisational coherence and the ability to plan for the long term. However, one essential piece of information is still missing:
How long do people actually stay in their roles?
ExitIndex™ provides factual, certified and comparable information that is available before the job starts.
- For talent, it is a decision-making tool.
- For companies, it is a strategic lever for credibility and attractiveness.
Creating tomorrow's standard
ExitIndex™ is an independent joint project. Each certified company contributes to the development of a national and international standard for professional stability based on the following principles:
- real data
- a unique methodology
- comparable certificates
- voluntary transparency
The ExitIndex™ methodology
Certification that meets the relevant standards
Certification has become indispensable in many industries. They don't make promises. They confirm.
ExitIndex™ is based on the same principles:
- an independent standard,
- a methodology that is identical for all,
- an official certificate issued according to public rules.
The goal is clear:
to become the reference standard for professional stability
Standardised function groups
The data is grouped into 20 standardised function groups that are common to all companies.
This structure prevents any manipulation in connection with job titles and ensures a coherent and fair comparison between companies.
Examples:
- Field service / key accounts
- Marketing & communication
- Finance & controlling
- Human resources & recruitment
- IT / digital / data
- Operations & production
- Research & development
- Management & strategy
Each position is assigned to a defined functional group in accordance with the rules of the ExitIndex™ standard, regardless of its exact title.
The ExitIndex™ certificate
Once the analysis is complete, each company and functional group that has been assessed receives an official ExitIndex™ certificate.
This certificate contains:
- a stability rating, expressed as a letter (A to E)
- an immediately readable colour code
- a range of the average length of time spent in the position
The certificate also contains an additional qualitative indication (+ / − / 0 neutral), which is intended to facilitate understanding of the stability rating based on the analysis of the departures observed during the analysed period and their distribution over time, without individual interpretation or evaluation by the human resources department.
The ExitIndex™ certificate thus enables a clear, objective and justifiable interpretation of professional stability within an organisation without subjective interpretation by the HR department.
